Things to do in Oakland Hills

  • Oakland Hills is home to some of Oakland’s best parks, including Redwood Regional Park, the northern reaches of Lake Chabot Regional Park, Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve, Joaquin Miller Park, and Robert Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve.
  • Become a member at Sequoyah Country Club. Opened in 1913, Sequoyah Country Club is an exclusive BayArea destination that boasts luxurious, family-friendly club amenities, sports facilities, mouthwatering on-site dining, and one of the best golf courses in the Bay Area.
  • Visit the graves of some of California’s most prominent historical figures at Mountain View Cemetery. Founded in 1863, this 226-acre cemetery is a regular tourist attraction in Oakland Hills. Some of the notable people buried in the cemetery include Anthony Chabot of the Chabot Space and Science Center, Oakland Tribune’s William E. Accessibility

Oakland Hills is best accessed by private transportation, although there are several Oakland buses that ply the routes to the hills. That said, residents of Oakland Hills have great access to the highway, making drives to surrounding communities such as Berkeley and Emeryville a breeze.
